Famous Serbian violinist Stefan Milenković, frequent guest of the best music events in Croatia, performs at the 63rd Split Summer Festival with another top musician, piano player Rohan de Silva, and the audience will enjoy the program composed by Niccolò Paganini, Pablo de Sarasate and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Awarded as Serbian artist of the century, Stefan Milenković is one of the world's greatest violinists of his generation who, from one performance to another, confirms his global artistic status. Being called the "miracle child," when Milenković was ten to fourteen years of age he already performed in front of the world's greatest statesmen, at sixteen years of age he played his thousandth concert, and with nineteen he graduated from the Belgrade Music Academy and later studied at the Julliard School. He was a Professor there together with the famous violinist Itzhak Perlman. He is dedicated both to his solo career and his pedagogical work therefore he is an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois.

Among the thousands of performances during her extraordinary career, some of his performances stand out: Carnegie Hall, New York, The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, Washington, Cadogan Hall in London, Suntory Hall, Tokyo,Teatro La Fenice, Venice, Teatro di San Carlo, Naples and Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari ... He has played with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, National Orchestra of Belgium, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Queensland Symphony Orchestra ... and with the most eminent conductors like Sir Neville Marriner, Lorin Maazel, Vladimir Fedoseyev and Daniel Oren. Deeply committed to international humanitarian causes, Milenković participated in a number of gala concerts under the auspices of UNESCO, with such artists as Plácido Domingo, Lorin Maazel, Alexis Weissenberg and Sir Yehudi Menuhin.

Favourite guest of all major music events in this region, Stefan Milenković will perform at the 63rd Split Summer Festival with another outstanding musician, pianist Rohan de Silva, whose career is marked by collaboration with the world's greatest violinists, among them a series of recitals with Itzhak Perlman. In the previous season they performed in a number of concerts in North America, Europe and Asia. Split audience will enjoy the program of two virtuosos, listening to the works of Niccolò Paganini, Pablo de Sarasate and Pyotr IlyichTchaikovsky.
