“Tolja – A Flyer Above the Shallows: An Evening in Memory of Anatolij Kudrjavcev”
An evening dedicated to the memory of Anatolij Kudrjavcev—theater critic, university professor, writer, translator, chronicler of the city of Split, and passionate picigin player—will be held in the garden of Library Dalmatina.
Along with a short documentary film by Branka Bezić Filipović, speakers will include his colleagues, friends, and former students: Jasen Boko, Branko Bosanac, Ivan Bošković, Nenni Delmestre, Goran Golovko, Trpimir Jurkić, and Siniša Vuković.
The event will be moderated by Ingrid Poljanić.

Book Presentation: “Gluha nota” by Elvis Bošnjak

Maša, a Russian-born Croatian actress, travels to visit her grandmother and grandfather in the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv and becomes trapped there when the Russian invasion begins, and the city is besieged.
Meanwhile, director Pacov is expecting her in Split for the first rehearsals of a stage adaptation of War and Peace. Maša and her longtime stage partner—and impossible platonic love—Alen are set to play Natasha Rostova and Prince Andrei Bolkonsky. Alen sets out to bring Maša home.
Gluha nota is a novel about love and its many manifestations, about a definition that always seems just out of reach; about hatred, sacrifice, heroism, war and peace. It is also a novel about theatre and art in wartime, about enduring questions that remain relevant across generations, and, even more so, about the search for answers through thought, word, action, and omission.
As literary critic Kruno Lokotar writes: “Gluha nota will astonish you, move you to tears, rearrange your perspective, and continue resonating within you long afterwards.”
The presentation will feature the author and actor Elvis Bošnjak together with librarian Gracijano Kalebić.
