Interfusion of Split, Croatian and European Music Summer
Music program of 55th Split Summer Festival this year becomes part of European Music Summer, an international festival composed by four countries: Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Czech Republic, supported by European Community. The aim of this Festival is exchange of valuable music programs in order to introduce European cultural heritage to its citizens. As a part of international exchange Croatian artists will perform in Italy, Czech Republic and Slovenia.
DRAMA PROGRAMME
From Big Ensemble Performances and Artifcial Expression to Monodrama Performances and Popular Theater
Variety of esthetics, diferent genres, voyage through four centuries of drama literature, from big ensemble performances to monodrama expressions, from popular theater to artifcial super-stylized; great theater names on the stage side by side with the students of Split Art Academy – guarantee a theater program for all type of audience.
DANCE PROGRAMME
Guests from the Ankara State Ballet and Opera performing Life and Tango
Turkish State Opera and Ballet is the central administrative point over all Operas and Ballets in fve major Turkish cities, among them Ankara with three such theaters. The biggest one and the most popular of all of them is Opera Sahnesi or Büyük Tiyatro. It is this theater that comes to 55th Split Summer Festival with its atractive collage-show Life and Tango.
