Famous Stefan Milenkovich is well known to the international, European and Split audience, however besides his musical virtuosity the public has always appreciated the fact that this international violin ambassador is at the same time a person who has never forgoten the human dimension of his popularity and ofers it to serve humanitarian goals. Besides these Milenkovich’s virtues, there is another one to be presented at the Split concert and that is the pleasure of playing music in a chamber orchestra selected especially for this occasion. They are all highly talented musicians who have already played together in European Union Youth Orchestra and some smaller chamber ensembles for classical and contemporary music.
It is composed by Croatian soloists, violoncello player Kajana Pačko and piano player Martina Filjak, three young soloists from European countries: Czech violinist Vanda Knezickova, Slovenian violinist Matjaž Porovne and French Tristan Thery. Concert program is yet another story, it starts with a poplar wind quartet (Serenade in G major) by Hugo Wolf beter known as the Italian Serenade, and it ends with famous Piano Quintet in A major by Dvorak, while the central part of the concert will be reserved for Stefan Milenkovich and some of his best known soloist interpretations of Sarasate, Tchaikovsky and Ravel.
