For the first time since its premiere in November 2023, Alen Liverić will appear in the role of Jakov, and Elvis Bošnjak as Mario Cvitković. Other cast members include Nives Ivanković, Stipe Radoja, Ana Marija Veselčić, Goran Marković, Donat Zeko, Bruna Bebić, Nenad Srdelić, Stipe Jelaska, Marjan Nejašmić Banić, Andrea Mladinić, Katarina Romac, Luka Čerjan, and Zdeslav Čotić.

Red Water tells the story of the disappearance of a seventeen-year-old girl on a September Saturday in 1989, following a fishermen’s festival in a small town on the Dalmatian coast. The police investigation yields no results, and the surrounding political events, the collapse of a system, social upheaval, and war,  overshadow the girl’s disappearance, which soon fades into oblivion. Her family, including her father, mother, and twin brother, are the only ones who continue to search for the missing Silva.

The plot spans twenty-seven years, following the fate of those entangled in the disappearance, from family members and suspects to inspectors of the communist militia. Through their destinies, the novel captures three decades of life in Croatia.
