The Croatian National Theatre in Split is a theater house that respects and promotes the dignity of every nation, encouraging values of freedom and free speech. The performance Woyzeck, in its entirety, is solely anti-war, empathizes with and respects Ukrainian victims, and does not intend to provoke or demoralize. However, it is heavy in its expression, and we are aware that it might cause discomfort. The performance does not glamorize war. Its purpose is to stimulate reflection, not to create divisions.

We thank everyone who shared their feelings and invite the Ukrainian embassy, as well as all interested parties, to come see the performance and participate in a dialogue about its themes.
