A commemoration for the late actor Mirko Kraljev will be held in the foyer of the Croatian National Theatre in Split on Friday, August 1, starting at 10 a.m.
Mirko Kraljev performed on the stages of all Croatian national theatres, in Zagreb theatres Gavella, Komedija, and Teatar &TD, as well as Sarajevo's National Theatre where he had his first professional engagement in 1964. He acted in 16 films and more than 40 TV series. Besides dramatic performances, he was the main actor in Tijardović's operettas "Mala Floramye" and "Spli'ski akvarel." For his role as Klanfar in Miroslav Krleža's "Leda" in 1994, he received the Marul Award at the Marulić Days, and the Judita Award at the Split Summer Festival in 1998 for his role as Agamemnon in Sophocles' "Ajax."
The memory of Mirko Kraljev will be brought to life by theatre chronicler Siniša Vuković and actor Pere Eranović from the Split National Theatre through their reminiscences.
