The exhibition Tijardović & Gotovac: From Note to Costume will be officially opened at the Old City Hall on Pjaca on Wednesday, May 14th, at 7 PM.
As part of the celebration of the Year of Ivo Tijardović and Jakov Gotovac, the exhibition titled Tijardović & Gotovac: From Note to Costume will be officially opened tomorrow, May 14th, 2025, at 7 PM at the Old City Hall on Pjaca.
This unique exhibition features costumes from the iconic operettas of Ivo Tijardović (Mala Floramye, Splitski akvarel, Kraljica lopte) and the operas of Jakov Gotovac (Ero the Joker, Mila Gojsalića). The costumes were designed and created by renowned Croatian costume designers: Danica Dedijer, Ana Savić Gecan, Tea Bašić Erceg, and Mladen Radovniković.
The exhibition offers insight into the rich theatrical and musical heritage of these two giants of the Croatian stage, while also highlighting the importance of costume as a vital element of artistic expression in opera and operetta.
The opening will be a special occasion for all lovers of theatre, music, and design to immerse themselves in stage artistry and revisit the timeless works that have shaped Croatian cultural history.
