The LADO Ensemble presents the most significant pieces from its rich repertoire on various stages across the country and abroad, showcasing the heritage of the entire Republic of Croatia. The concert begins with the choreography "Posavski plesovi" (Posavina Dances) and moves to the northern Adriatic island of Susak. Dances and music lead us to Baranja, Primošten, Split, and the Zagreb region. Having thus covered all dance zones, LADO continues to amaze Croatian and international audiences with its excellence, temperament, and authentic performances, offering the pleasure and pride that radiate from the Croatian tradition.

With a vibrant presentation of various musical instruments, dance steps, and elements, different singing styles and techniques, dialects, and the rich colors of folk costumes, LADO once again takes you on a journey and introduces you to all that surrounds us in the modern world, but is often invisible to our eyes—the rich Croatian dance and music tradition.

The dance concert features some of the most famous and iconic LADO pieces. Posavski plesovi (Posavina Dances) is a legendary choreography by Professor Zvonimir Ljevaković, the founder and first artistic director of the LADO Ensemble, as well as the choreography Tanac po Susacku (Dance from Susak). The dance and musical journey through Croatia continues with a stage depiction of the Jurjevski običaji (St. George’s customs) from Hrvatsko Zagorje by Ivica Ivanković, Prutoljaki hodiju (Prutoljaki walk), Primoštensko kolo (Primošten Circle) by Dr. Ivan Ivančan, and also includes Stari splitski plesovi (Old Split Dances) and Baranjski plesovi (Baranja Dances). The LADO Ensemble orchestra is featured with musical interludes, while the concert concludes with the legendary and audience-favorite Prigorski plesovi (Prigorje Dances) by Zvonimir Ljevaković.

Note for the audience: Due to damage to the Marjan's Bene area caused by a severe storm in Split, the scheduled performance on July 24th will be held at the Croatian National Theatre Split.
