Although Ivo Tijardović’s name is most often associated with operettas, his work also includes numerous scores for feature films. The HRT Orchestra will perform Tijardović’s film music, including themes from Mali čovjek, Sinji galeb, Jedini izlaz, and Princeza koralja.

Croatian conductor Berislav Skenderović is the founder, music director, and chief conductor of the Vojvodina Philharmonic Orchestra (2001–2016), and was also the artistic director of the Opera of the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad. He began his career as a ballet conductor at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (1979), later becoming chief conductor of the Croatian National Theatre Opera in Split (1981), the RTV Sarajevo Symphony Orchestra, and a guest conductor at the Dubrovnik Festival. Since 1992, he has served as chief conductor of the Philharmonic in Cape Town, South Africa.

He studied piano and conducting in Belgrade and Munich, refining his craft under the renowned conductors Sawallisch and Celibidache. He has performed with numerous prestigious orchestras across Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, including a concert at Carnegie Hall. He has collaborated with countless acclaimed artists and participated in international festivals, including the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Zagreb Biennale, and the Split Summer Festival.

Known for his passionate interpretations of Russian and German composers, he has conducted over a thousand concerts, covering nearly the entire symphonic, operatic, and ballet repertoire. He has also recorded for radio and television stations and released several CDs.
