Heavenly City

Heavenly City

Inspired by the universal concept of the heavenly city — a symbol of spiritual ideal present in many cultures — the concert offers a musical experience that connects mysticism, the spirit's architecture, and the individual's inner development. The works explore the search for meaning, harmony, and eternity, drawing on Béla Hamvas's idea of the spiritual city that a person builds through their own deeds, thoughts, and words.

The artistic organization for contemporary music and visual art, ARtHESIS, was founded in 2021. It aims to present and promote contemporary music composers from Split and connect contemporary music and visual art through interdisciplinary projects.
