One of the most interesting Croatian ensembles, the Split-based duo Tudor–Režić has been collaborating for years on projects that blur the boundaries between musical genres. Their expression is rooted in top-level chamber music-making, freely moving through the realms of improvisation, electronics, and contemporary musical dramaturgy.
Their new program, titled "Songs," consists of a variety of compositions that all, in their way, reference the idea of song — whether it be a classical aria, a folk melody, film music, or an art-rock ballad. In arrangements for saxophone, classical and electric guitar with effects, these works acquire a new, rich sonic dimension.
